Are any DC City Mommy friends on twitter? Do you tweet?
I discovered twitter over a year ago. I was clicking around from blog to blog when I saw a blue bird symbol. What is this blue bird thing? I am a naturally curious person so I clicked. That one click launched a new online world.
I discovered an online world where people post updates ranging from "Did a happy dance as the school bus left my driveway" to "I wrote a post on breastfeeding a fussy baby. Would love to hear your strategies for dealing" to "The 4th person to tweet this phrase wins a bottle of detergent" to... Well, I could go on and on. Some tweets are intriguing, some mundane, some are written in Chinese, and some are get rich quick schemes.
Twitter is an online community of people who connect with each other, who post relevant information, who help each other, who offer support, and so much more. There is no cost to have a twitter account.
You can have 1 follower or 10,000 followers. It's your choice.
You can add a link to twitter on your blog. You can link your blog to Facebook. You can link twitter to Facebook. Social networking at work!
Are you on twitter? Let me know so I can follow you. If you want to follow me, I am @MusingsfromMe >> www.twitter.com/musingsfromme.

I'm on twitter as well for my business - www.twitter.com/dcbabyplanners. I really like it a lot, but find I can spend all day on it if not careful. I have been selective on who I follow and have unfollowed some as their posts were not informative or interesting. | Fri, 02/26/2010 - 11:44am |
